‘As I’m petite, I always go for collarless styles, as I find them more flattering. Large collars can swamp me. I also find lots of coats are too long on the body or arms, but this one fits perfectly and works with both skirts and trousers. With embellishment and diamanté detailing, it’s great for work and for glam nights out.’ COAT, £85, RIVER ISLAND; JUMPER, £29.99, MANGO; SKIRT, £25, M&S; HEELS, £28, ASOS.COM
‘I prefer longer styles that aren’t too bulky or padded. I struggle to find a coat that fits my arms but isn’t too wide across the shoulders. This one fits perfectly, and red is a huge trend for autumn. My wardrobe is mostly navy and black, so it’ll be my goto for injecting colour into my daily look.’ COAT, £34.99, NEW LOOK; JUMPSUIT, £49, TOPSHOP; SHOES, £25, ASOS.COM
‘Normally, I go for loose, boyfriend-style coats, and prefer longer, buttonless styles that can be worn open, as I feel this makes me look taller and slimmer. This coat is a modern take on a heritage print, with mustard and red brightening up the checks. I love to play with prints – try pairing it with a flirty floral dress.’ COAT, £65, MISS SELFRIDGE; DRESS, £29.99, NEW LOOK; BOOTS, £50, SCHUH
‘Luxe fabrics like shearling and faux fur are my favourites, but they can sometimes add bulk. This dark navy coat is lightweight and figureflattering and is guaranteed to go with anything. Great to contrast with cool pastels and creams, or paired with dark jeans and a statement knit. I also love the cosy lining and faux-shearling edging.’ COAT, £95.99, ZARA; JUMPER, £14.99, NEW LOOK; TROUSERS, £49, TOPSHOP; BOOTS, £115, DUNE
