It’s not been the easiest of years for Amy Childs. Six weeks after giving birth to her daughter, Polly, in April, Amy ended her relationship with builder boyfriend Bradley Wright, 25.

‘Doing it on my own is hard, but I think it makes you stronger,’ she tells us as we sit down for a lunchtime chat.

‘Being a mum is the best thing I’ve ever done in my life. Me and Polly have got the most amazing bond ever.’

The former TOWIE star is absolutely besotted with Polly – telling us at least three times throughout our chat how much she loves her.

‘We went to Lakeside [shopping centre in Essex] the other day, and Polly was just talking away, so I think she’ll be a proper chatterbox. She’s such a lovely little thing – I love her,’ she says, proudly.

It’s clear that motherhood really suits Amy and, to add to her delight, she’s just been crowned this year’s 3D-lipo Celebrity Mum Of The Year.

‘I’m so overwhelmed. I just can’t get over it!’ she smiles.

Polly sounds pretty pleased for her mum, too. ‘We had all the pictures taken with the award, and she laughed the whole time!’ gushes the 27-year-old reality TV star. ‘She’s so cheeky!’

Taking after her mum, it looks like Polly’s not short of famous friends.

‘A couple of weeks ago, me and Polly went on a play date with Billie [Faiers] and Arthur [Billie’s son, eight months],’ reveals Amy.

‘We have a few mutual friends, so we all got together and went for a bit of lunch.

‘When you’re with other mums, it’s really interesting to know what their babies are getting up to.’

As Amy tells us that ‘all the TOWIE boys and girls will go to school together in Brentwood’, we joke that the kids should do a nextgeneration show in 18 years’ time – and Amy was all for it.

‘Yeah, and the mums, too!’ she laughs. ‘I think it could be a very good idea. But Polly’s not allowed to talk about vajazzles!’

Despite her latest accolade, Amy admits that she gets trolled online for her parenting choices.

‘You’re never going to win,’ she sighs. ‘I’d get abuse either way. People haven’t got anything better to do.’

But, taking it all in her stride, the former The Jump contestant grins, ‘We call them the Mum Police! Every baby’s different, and mums should rally together.

‘At the end of the day, I know I’m a good mum. I know that I’m doing the best for Polly.’

While she praises the ‘amazing support’ she gets from her parents and her cousin, fellow ex-TOWIE star Harry Derbidge, 23, glamorous Amy reveals that being a hands-on parent gets in the way of her beauty routine.

‘You should see me at two o’clock in the afternoon, when I’ve not taken my dressing gown off for two days,’ she giggled.

‘I live in my gym stuff, but I don’t really go any more!’

Polly’s the star of the show, says proud Amy
