As hubby Mark Wright’s workload increases in Los Angeles, a ‘stressed-out’ Michelle Keegan looks noticeably thinner

After enduring a long-distance relationship with her hubby Mark Wright for over a year, actress Michelle Keegan revealed she’s happy to move to LA to be with Mark.

But despite this huge commitment, the pair looked like they had the weight of the world on their shoulders as they stepped out in Beverly Hills last week (see right). Michelle was later spotted with a noticeably thinner frame as she took a phone call.

An insider has revealed that 30-year-old Michelle’s sudden weight loss is down to stress, as she worries Mark’s increasing workload will put pressure on their relationship.

‘Michelle has always been the kind of girl that when she’s stressed you can see it in her figure,’ says our source.

‘While she’s absolutely thrilled that Mark has landed even more work in the States and is doing so well, the pressure of her trying to work out how that all fits in to their marriage is definitely affecting her.’

‘In the past three weeks, she’s the slimmest she’s ever been. It looks as if she’s lost another three pounds.’

Since moving to America last September, Mark’s career has gone from strength to strength as a showbiz reporter for US channel, Extra.

He’s interviewed big names including Kim Kardashian West, Mariah Carey and Tom Cruise, and the ex-TOWIE star, 31, has impressed bosses so much that executives are considering extending his contract for another 12 months.

They even want him to cover Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding this week for the US channel and he has now arrived back in London to prepare for the broadcast. However, as we’ve reported before, his busy schedule is threatening to clash with his third wedding

anniversary to Michelle on May 24.

‘Michelle is devastated at the idea of them being apart,’ continues our source.

‘She has confided in her closest friends that she is stressed about how they’re going to manage Mark’s increasing workload.

‘She feels there’s a danger Mark’s work will dominate everything.

‘She and Mark had a really long heart-to-heart about her fears and he’s trying to reassure her their marriage comes first.’

Mark has previously said he would give up ‘conquering his dreams’ of cracking America for Michelle.

But the ex-Corrie star is now preparing to make the move over to US to stop the distance widening any further, despite admitting she’s ‘not an LA woman’.

‘Of course I’ve thought about it,’ she said. ‘I’m auditioning for work out in LA, and if something good comes up, I will take it.’

Last month, we revealed Michelle secured a working visa, after she was spotted outside a Hollywood casting agency. But if she’s worried about how much time they will get to spend together when she makes the move permanent, it seems to be business as usual for Mark.

While the Our Girl actress briefly flew to Las Vegas for a hen party for brother-in-law Josh’s fiancée, Hollie Kane, Mark was seen laughing and dancing with Essex pal Olly Murs in LA, who even joked that Michelle ‘had finally let Mark out’ for the night. Shortly after they tied the knot in 2015, she furiously lashed out at trolls who claimed that she looked ‘anorexic’ after Mark shared a series of bikini snaps. But last year, Michelle admitted she had to put on a stone after thinking she was too ‘bony’.

She explained, ‘I’ve been away [filming Our Girl in Malaysia and Nepal] for so long and I haven’t had time to work out. Now I’m kicking myself and thinking, “Why didn’t I just eat healthily while

I was away?”

‘But I think I needed to put on a bit of weight. I was a bit bony.’

She added that, when suffering from bouts of anxiety, she tends to hit the gym harder to ‘sweat out’ any stress.

‘I get anxiety quite a lot over little things. It comes in waves. I use breathing techniques, or I go to the gym,’ Michelle explained. ‘That always helps me. I sweat it out and feel better and lighter.’

And our source says that Michelle’s determined to get back to a healthier weight after shedding the pounds. ‘Typically, if Michelle’s really stressed out she may not even eat a full meal until early evening,’ our insider says. ‘She’s also neglected her strict eating regime, where she would have stocked up on good carbs throughout the day.

‘Michelle says she’s going to make a real effort to try to get her weight back and she’s changing her eating pattern to try to speed up the weight gain.

‘She gets very selfconscious when she loses weight and puts herself under pressure to try to put it back on.’ Kimberley Bond
