OUR COLUMNIST GABBY ALLEN’S VIEW
‘One of my first thoughts on watching the show was that there wasn’t much body diversity.
‘All of the first girls were similar: very slim, with fake boobs and hair extensions. Also, the camera adds weight to you, too, so they’ll be even tinier in real life.
‘That’s why I had my little breakdown when I was in the Love Island villa last year, because I was a different build to the other girls.
‘It knocked my confidence – I didn’t have big hair or fake boobs, and I felt inadequate.
‘After talking about it, though, I have had so much feedback from women saying I inspired them to be confident in their own skin. I hope they bring some curvy and edgy girls in soon.’
