What about the current 1290 Super Adventure?
This new S version sits alongside, rather than replaces, the existing 1290 Super Adventure – which continues into 2017 with a new ‘T’ suffix (for Touring) and a £15,499 price tag. It doesn’t benefit from the S’s new all-led headlight, keyless ignition, colour dash and improved switchgear, nor its optional quickshifter or Bluetooth connectivity. Instead it has a 30-litre petrol tank (seven more than the S), heated grips and seat as standard, spoked wheels, and weighs 11kg more.
