What if I have an A2 licence?

-

The previous 1050 Adventure was designed to make 94bhp so it could still be bought by young riders on an A2 licence. Sort of. An A2-compliant bike can only have 47bhp – but it can be restricted down from any bike that normally makes up to twice as much (ie 94bhp). As the new 1090 now makes 123bhp, it’s too powerful to be restricted.

So, what if you are one of the riders with both an A2 licence and the £11k budget to buy a brand-new KTM Adventure? Well, KTM are going to produce a 47bhp version of the 1090 Adventure as a separate, specific model – that is, one that just makes 47bhp, and can’t later be derestricted to produce the regular 1090’s full 123bhp. Ask your dealer for further details.
