Installing the Zona

Remove the number plate to fit the camera bracket. It can go on the left or the right. Adjust the length of the sliding arm to make sure the camera does clear the number plate completely. Simple. But use threadlock on the bolts.

Run the wire under the seat and directly to the battery. It’s fused and draws practically no current when not in use. It goes to sleep when the bike is stationary and wakes up when it moves. There’s a USB port to update its software as necessary (all updates are free).

With the bike upright, adjust the camera to get the angle right – you don’t want all sky or all tarmac. You need to move the bike to wake the camera up. The eyepiece doesn’t need to be in a helmet for this stage: you can hold it in your hand and check what the camera sees.
