How we tested them

We used all products on both used and new bikes to see how easy they were to apply. We then used a metal car bonnet and a plastic car wing, to directly compare the products in a uniform test. Both were painted black, which is the easiest colour to see the results on. To assess how they dealt with the many surfaces on a bike, all products were tested on bare plastic surfaces, an aluminium swingarm with a cast finish and an aluminium frame with a polished finish. All the products were left on for a week and pressure-washed multiple times to test the longevity of the protective finish.
