On the road again
IT HAS BEEN A BUSY MONTH FOR THE RIDE TESTERS, IN THE UK AND FARTHER AFIELD

to make my own. Turns out, if anything, I have now made the buffeting problem even worse. I’ll just have to wait for stock of the genuine article, I guess.
I also fitted a pair of Suzuki’s adjustable footpegs. They have a choice of three different heights and will be useful in terms of ground clearance off-road, but I ran them in the highest position on this road trip. Unfortunately for me, that places far too much weight emphasis on the seat and gives me a numb behind far quicker than usual.
Filtering through central London traffic, the little V-strom performs extremely well. The higher riding position is useful for looking over traffic, while the 650 V-twin motor provides easy, usable power at any speed, and from any revs.
Mission accomplished - beigels all safely delivered back to the groom in plenty of time. Mazel tov! GARETH ASHMAN
