LS2 excellent value for the road
Realistically, you probably wouldn’t use a pair of Motogp-derived racing-style gloves for day-to-day road use. They are exceptionally well made and hit the highest level of CE rating for protection but are a significant investment for everyday use.
The LS2S, on the other hand, have the same CE rating and are much more flexible and supple, making them more relevant to normal road riding. The addition of a visor wipe and touchscreen-compatible fingertips suggests they are clearly targeted to road users who want some racing style.
After using the £70 gloves back-toback with the £340 items, we’d happily save the money. They’d be fine for trackdays too and have the confidence that the CE rating brings. If you’re a racer, choose the Alpinestars. The rest of us can be happy with the LS2S.
