Church holds film club pre­miere

BAM­FORD and Nor­den United Re­formed Church is hold­ing its in­au­gu­ral film club screen­ing on Satur­day, Septem­ber 16.

There will be a few sur­prises are in store for the first evening, which starts at 6.45pm.

The Ian New­man Com­mu­nity Film Club is named after the late Ian New­man, whose idea it was a few years ago to start a film club at Bam­ford Chapel.

The cost of ad­mis­sion is £3 which in­cludes the cost of re­fresh­ments.

A group of chapel mem­bers met in Fe­bru­ary to plan this new ven­ture, in the newly re­fur­bished sanc­tu­ary where chairs have re­placed pews and a drop down screen.

The first film is to be In­di­ana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark, which has a PG clas­si­fi­ca­tion.

Screen­ings will be held ev­ery third Satur­day of the month, com­menc­ing at 6.45pm. Fur­ther screen­ings can be found at bc­nchurch.org.uk].
