Mini marvel Lucy is new sole sister
A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl has been recognised as a Valley store’s official ‘mini shoe tester’.
Lucy Williams, from Whitworth, won the role after entering a competition with Bacup Wynsors World of Shoes and impressed the panel with her ‘imaginative’ entry and a photograph of herself mid-handstand.
She was chosen to put the Wynsors’ back to school range through the paces.
Prizewinner Lucy was able to take home her two favourite pairs, as well as a surprise £50 voucher for her to spend.
Lucy, who attends Tonacliffe Primary School, said: “I can’t wait to run around with my new pairs of shoes on the playground and tell my friends about how I won them.”
Her mum Lisa added: “Lucy is completely thrilled about becoming Wynsors’ mini shoe tester, she absolutely loves going to school and taking part in competitions in the local community - it’s fantastic to see her enthusiasm being rewarded.”
Janice Riley, Bacup store manager, said: “For us, Lucy’s email and photograph really expressed personality, as well as her own personal energy.
“She is the perfect mini shoe tester.”
