Free concert for Remembrance day
A FREE concert is taking place in Rochdale on Remembrance Sunday.
The event is being put on by Empire Rochdale in partnership with the Royal British Legion on Sunday, November 12, and will take place after the service at the Cenotaph.
It will be on at Empire on Packer Street, and will feature special live performances from the Suburban Swing Orchestra, New Identity Band, and DJs The Vinyl Countdown. It will be hosted by Revolution 96.2 DJ Dave Sweetmore.
The Suburban Swing Orchestra is a local 17 piece big band which specialises in big band and swing, and New Identity Band are a party show band who play everything from 60s, 70s and 80s right up to date.
There will be free tea or coffee plus a slice of cake, fresh homemade pie for sale, a Royal British Legion merchandise stall and collection tins.
The service at the Cenotaph will take place at 10.50am, and the performances at Empire will start at 12 noon.
All are welcome to pay their respects to those who have given their lives to defend their country.
