LEADING car maker recently revealed survey results that showed a staggering 8 out of 10 new car buyers pick the wrong colour for their personality.
Now I’m not sure about that but there is no doubt that some cars suit certain colours more than others – and this week’s test motor is a good example.
A few weeks ago we tried the Subaru BRZ and have now got our hands on its near identical sibling, Toyota’s GT 86 Pro.
But where the Subaru was a tasteful metallic dark blue, as you can see, the Toyota was an ‘in your face’ bright red… the perfect colour for a proper sports car.
Like the BRZ, the GT 86 has been revised for 2017 with a wider grille and new bumper design, revised fog lights and new LED headlamps. There’s also a new front splitter and optional boot lid spoiler. The biggest visual change are LED rear lights, which give the car a different look at night.
Inside things are a bit more luxurious with leather and Alcantara on the doors and dash and new stitching, plus audio controls on the steering wheel and an instrument binnacle screen for car data and trip functions.
