Chloe on a power Trip

ROSSENDALE’S Chloe Trippier has been celebrating recently after managing to break four British records at a recent powerlifting event.

Chloe was competing at the Strength Therapy/Sila Gym in Salford, where the North West qualifier for the BPU/ABPU Powerlifting Federation was held.

She only took up powerlifting as a hobby around 15 months ago, and it was only her second powerlifting competition.

Chloe achieved a 115kg squat, a 57.5kg bench and a 145kg deadlift in the raw 56kg women class, even though she weighed in at 54.4kg. All of her scores were records and the total 317.5kg was also a record.

It meant she won the 56kg class, and also won the best female raw lifter.

She has now been invited to the European Championships in Russia, and will also compete at the British Championships.
