CASES heard at Burnley Magistrates Court:
SHAUN James Wood, 27, of Duchess Street, Shaw, pleaded guilty to a public order offence in Rawtenstall and a racially aggravated public order offence while subject to a suspended prison sentence order. He was jailed for 20 weeks.
ADAM Robinson, 30, of Heathfield Road, Bacup, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was fined £250, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 16 months, reduced by 16 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
SIMON Richard Vincent, 24, of Brown Street, Bacup, was found guilty of failing to provide a specimen of blood for analysis as part of a police investigation under the Road Traffic Act. He also pleaded guilty to six counts of theft and two counts of failing to surrender into custody having been released on bail. He was jailed for eight weeks and disqualified from driving for 12 months. CASES heard at Blackburn Magistrates Court:
SHEILA Veronica Cooper, 55, of Thorburn Drive, Whitworth, pleaded guilty to dishonestly failing to notify the Department for Work and Pensions of a change in circumstances affecting her entitlement to income-related employment support allowance, and failing to notify Rossendale council of a change in circumstances affecting her entitlement to council tax benefit and housing benefit. She was given a 20-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, with a supervision requirement, a 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement, and ordered to pay £120 costs.
