Jig­saw fes­ti­val re­turns

THE fourth Rams­bot­tom Jig­saw Fes­ti­val is com­ing to St Paul’s Church next week.

Spon­sored by puz­zle mak­ers Gib­sons, the fes­ti­val from Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 6 to Satur­day, Septem­ber 9 is a joint ven­ture be­tween St Paul’s and Eden­field Par­ish Church.

There will be more than 1,000 com­pleted jig­saw puzzles of dif­fer­ent sizes, themes, styles and sub­jects in an ever-chang­ing dis­play, which will also be avail­able for visi­tors to buy.

It will be open to the pub­lic from 10am to 5pm each day and also from 6.30pm to 9pm on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 7.

The fes­ti­val will be of­fi­cially opened by the Mayor of Bury Coun Dorothy Gun­ther and Mayor of Rossendale Coun Colin Craw­forth as part of the pre­view evening to which con­trib­u­tors have been in­vited.

Re­fresh­ments will be avail­able through­out the fes­ti­val. Ad­mis­sion is £2 and the en­trance pro­gramme will en­ti­tle the holder to read­mis­sion free of charge dur­ing the four days. En­try fir ac­com­pa­nied chil­dren is free.

The or­gan­is­ers are still look­ing for vol­un­teers to help staff the jig­saw fes­ti­val.

A num­ber of roles are avail­able, such as sales desk staff, door stew­ards and raf­fle ticket sell­ers.
