Jigsaw festival returns
THE fourth Ramsbottom Jigsaw Festival is coming to St Paul’s Church next week.
Sponsored by puzzle makers Gibsons, the festival from Wednesday, September 6 to Saturday, September 9 is a joint venture between St Paul’s and Edenfield Parish Church.
There will be more than 1,000 completed jigsaw puzzles of different sizes, themes, styles and subjects in an ever-changing display, which will also be available for visitors to buy.
It will be open to the public from 10am to 5pm each day and also from 6.30pm to 9pm on Thursday, September 7.
The festival will be officially opened by the Mayor of Bury Coun Dorothy Gunther and Mayor of Rossendale Coun Colin Crawforth as part of the preview evening to which contributors have been invited.
Refreshments will be available throughout the festival. Admission is £2 and the entrance programme will entitle the holder to readmission free of charge during the four days. Entry fir accompanied children is free.
The organisers are still looking for volunteers to help staff the jigsaw festival.
A number of roles are available, such as sales desk staff, door stewards and raffle ticket sellers.
