A FOR­MER Con­ser­va­tive Club, bap­tist church and cricket ground are set to be sold off at auc­tion.

Bacup Con­ser­va­tive Club, on Ir­well Ter­race, is ex­pected to fetch up to £150,000.

Plan­ning per­mis­sion was granted in 2015 to con­vert the premises into flats.

The Grade-II listed Water­barn Bap­tist Church and Cricket Ground, in Stack­steads, is also set to go un­der the ham­mer with a guide price of £130,000.

The lot also in­cludes the for­mer community cen­tre, ad­join­ing fields and pavil­ion build­ings.

The auc­tion will be held on Tues­day, Septem­ber 12 at the AJ Bell Sta­dium in Manch­ester from 12noon.
