A MUSIC festival is celebrating its 25th year in style with a jubilee concert.

The Ramsbottom music festival anniversary celebration will give musicians of all ages the ability to show off their musical prowess and perform for family and friends.

They will also be able to have their performances judged, and receive feedback from, experienced adjudicators.

The festival was founded in 1993 by music teacher, Peter Fielding, and a group of enthusiastic local people which included Bury’s current Mayor, Coun Dorothy Gunther.

Many of the performers have gone on to successful careers as professional musicians or are currently studying at Music Conservatoires.

There will also be competitors who are considered to be rising stars and a mix of solo performers and groups.

The event will take place on October 7, at Bolton Road methodist church in Bury. Tickets are available by calling 07817 876372.
