Mountain biker rescue
A MOUNTAIN biker was rescued after suffering a ‘cardiac’ illness.
Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team (RPMRT) was called to Holcombe Moor near to Pilgrim’s Cross on Sunday, October 8.
A helicopter airlifted the man, 43, to hospital.
RPMRT volunteers praised a fell runner and a group of mountain bikers for their ‘invaluable’ help.
A spokesperson said: “From all the team we wish the casualty well and hope he has a speedy recovery.”
