Appeal over dog attacks
POLICE have launched an appeal in connection with two dog attacks which hospitalised people.
A 63-year-old man was walking on Deardengate, Haslingden when he was attacked by a dog on October 28 last year.
The animal bit him on the arm, before the man freed himself and went to hospital.
A 20-year-old woman was bitten on the arm at a property in the Blackburn Road area of Haslingden on December 30 last year.
She was later treated at Royal Preston Hospital and needed plastic surgery.
Officers believe the same dog was involved in both attacks and want to speak to a man whose picture they have now released.
