A VALLEY manufacturing business has received a £200,000 cash boost thanks to a loan from a business investment fund.

RCS Doors, based on Bury Road in Rawtenstall, can now double their factory space, creating four new jobs in the process thanks to the loan from Lancashire Enterprise Partnership’s Rosebud Finance.

The company, which now employs more than 30 people, was established in 1999 by current managing director Steven Kenny and specialises in the design and manufacture of roller shutters for industrial, commercial and domestic use.

The funding will allow RCS to expand its operations within its existing premises by installing a mezzanine floor, and to employ two sales staff and two apprentices.

County coun Michael Green, cabinet member for economic development, said he was ‘pleased’ that RCS were able to secure the funding, adding: “Rosebud supports businesses by providing them with the support and resources to help them grow. And thanks to our involvement with Boost Business Lancashire, we’re able to ●● County Councillor Michael Green, RCS managing director Steven Kenny and Peter Rooney – investment manager for Mercia Fund Managers – at RCS Doors help businesses to find the tailored support that they need.”
