VOLUNTEERS from an animal rescue charity are set to bare all as they bid to repeat the success of a light hearted ‘naked’ calendar.

Rossendale Responsible Animal Rescue (RRAR) have booked a photo shoot for 12 volunteers in July in preparation for their 2019 calendar.

Organiser Michaela Holt said the last one they did in 2016 was ‘a great success’.

She said: “We sold more than 1,700 copies at £ 7 each, giving us a significant boost.

“We’re shooting at different locations in the Valley and will be photographing our volunteers with some of the animals we have helped.”

She said all the models will be female, adding: “We tried to persuade a couple of our male volunteers to take part but they said they would leave it up to the girls. We are looking for potential sponsors for the calendar which will give companies great exposure to hundreds of people while helping us.” Full page sponsorship is on offer at £ 150 and half page at £ 75 by contacting the group’s Facebook page.

Volunteers will also be raising money for RRAR this summer by doing a hot coals ‘ fire walk’ at Vidya Matha, Rawtenstall on July 22 at 5pm.
