For more information see accringtoncameraclub.org. uk Veterans and Voices’ concert: The Veterans In Communities charity choir is fast becoming well established in the Valley and is working in collaboration with the prize-winning Haslingden and Helmshore Band to repeat the very successful ‘Veterans and Voices’ concert that was staged at St Mary’s Church in Rawtenstall last June. The concert is a fundraiser for the Veterans In Communities Charity and the Haslingden and Helmshore band. This year’s concert will again be held at St Mary’s Church from 7.30pm. It promises to be an uplifting experience. Tickets are £5, with refreshments available and parking at Asda. All money raised will go to supporting the work of the VIC charity and the band. Summer Fair: Lots of different stalls, hot and cold lunches and admission is free. 10am to 1pm. Reckless Abandon: The Rossendale Methodist Circuit, in partnership with Mission Aviation Fellowship, will host a presentation of ‘Reckless Abandon’ by the national theatre company, 4Front Theatre at Longholme Methodist Church in Rawtenstall (BB4 7NQ) at 7pm. The two-hour production relates the true story of Elisabeth Elliot, whose husband was transported along with other missionaries to a remote South American tribe and the play is their true story.
