The aim of the project is to work with dads in prison using arts to increase communication and connection with their kids on visiting days. My role is project manager. I used to work as a probation officer in a prison. How long have you been with the Horse and Bamboo?: This is my first project and I’m very excited! The Horse and Bamboo theatre played host to the first theatre production I ever saw as a child and from that point I fell in love with theatre. Who is your favourite actor and why?: Sir Ian McKellen. His versatility and range is fantastic, both on stage and in films. If you could play any part what would it be and why?: Sky Masterson in ‘Guys and Dolls’. I’ve always loved the film and Brando in the role. I would love to play it. Are you involved in any other projects at the moment?: I’m currently writing a couple of shows for Christmas. What do you most enjoy about doing this?: I love directing – working with actors seeing a production come together. But I also enjoy working on different projects like this one with Horse and Bamboo, seeing arts connect people.
