Heffron among impressive bill at Arena
BOXING ROSSENDALE boxer Mark Heffron will have some big names alongside him when he makes his return to the ring on December 22 - after Irish star Michael Conlan was added to the bill.
Heffron challenges for the vacant British middleweight title on the card at the Manchester Arena, which is headlined by an IBF featherweight title fight between Josh Warrington and Carl Frampton.
The 26-year-old is still searching for an opponent for the fight, after former champion Jason Welborn vacated the title in order to take on world champion Jarrett Hurd on December 1.
Conlan is the latest big name added to the event, and he is looking forward to getting back in action and competing on a packed show that includes the likes of Heffron.
“I am really excited to be fighting on this card, especially as it includes my stablemate and friend Carl Frampton,” said Conlan.
“I am looking to step up in class and reach 10-0 as a professional by Christmas when the Conlan revolution rolls into Manchester.”
Also joining the card will be Olympic hero Paddy Barnes and unbeaten light heavyweight contender Steven Ward, with both men hailing from Belfast.
Merseyside will be represented too as Liverpool’s 9-0 welterweight prospect Sam Maxwell returns to action on the show along with Formby’s 6-0 heavyweight Alex Dickinson. Derbyshire’s highly touted cruiserweight Jack Massey will also feature.
Tickets for the event are available and can be purchased direct from Heffron himself by contacting him through social media.
