Three years is a joke
I totally agree with Stephen Jones’s views on the need to change the farcical three-year residency rule.
Players like CJ Stander, Virimi Vakatawa and WP Nel may add quality to their squads, but home-grown talent is missing out.
International teams play a vital role in inspiring the next generation to play for their country. So watching a project player don the shirt of his new ‘home team’ seems to devalue the act of representing your country.
The residency rule should rise to eight to ten years. RW says:
