Rugby World - - THE FANS’ VIEW -

Stephen Jones misses the point completely (“Is rugby becoming football?”Juneissue).

He may have been able to see everything from his seat in the stadium, but what did he see… mind-numbingly boring play, pointless passing between prima donnas, back passes to nowhere, 89 minutes of absolutely forgettable running and perhaps one minute of some form of action. And bad sportsmanship, diving and shirt-pulling.

I’d rather watch a scrum being reset than highly-paid idiots batting a ball backwards and sideways. Colin Slater, via email
