Girl hit by car treated for leg in­jury

AN 11-year-old girl who was struck by a car in Ruis­lip on Fri­day Septem­ber 8 has suf­fered only a leg in­jury, po­lice have con­firmed.

Of­fi­cer from the Met Po­lice added that no ar­rests have been made fol­low­ing the crash in West End road, but the driver of the ve­hi­cle is as­sist­ing po­lice with enquiries.

The in­ci­dent, in­volv­ing a Nis­san Micra, hap­pened at around 3pm.

The road was closed at around 3pm and buses on route E7 were di­verted as po­lice dealt with the scene.

The state­ment from po­lice on Fri­day said: “Po­lice were called to West End Road, j/w Berke­ley Close at just be­fore 3pm on Fri­day Septem­ber 8 to re­ports of a road traf­fic col­li­sion.

“At the scene, an 11-year-old girl had been in col­li­sion with a Nis­san Micra car.

“The girl was taken by Lon­don Am­bu­lance Ser­vice to a west Lon­don hos­pi­tal for treat­ment to a leg in­jury.

“Her fam­ily has been no­ti­fied and are with her. We await an up­date on her con­di­tion.”

On Satur­day, po­lice said the girl has “a leg in­jury only.”
