PEDESTRIANS BRUSH WITH DEATH ON BUSY ROAD–
HEART-STOPPING footage has show the moment a car violently swerves to avoid a pedestrian on a busy Hayes road.
The terrifying near miss was caught on camera by Steven Paz as he made his way to work during the early hours of Tuesday morning October 3 in Dawley Road.
He managed to capture the incident in full on his dashcam as he stopped to allow the unidentified pedestrian to cross the road at the pelican crossing.
The man, wearing dark clothes with reflective cuffs on his trousers, initially makes it nearly half way across the road.
He is then seen to stop in his tracks and move backwards as the car appears to come to an abrupt halt in the middle of the crossing.
The 30-year-old driver, whose camera recorded the footage, said his main concern was to make sure the pedestrian was alright.
“In the mornings, around that time, there are always drivers in a rush for work. I see it all the time,” Mr Paz said.
“If the guy was one step further on the crossing, he would be dead.”
GetWestLondon has approached the Metropolitan Police regarding the incident.
