Variations from The Theme

Ruislip & Eastcote & Northwood Gazette - - What’s On -

I HAVE an absolute treat for fans of live music on Tuesday October 2 – and you don’t even have to leave your favourite armchair for the pleasure.

South-east London’s mod-tinged indie five-piece The Theme are gracing my humble Hayes FM for a live session between 8pm and 9pm.

Formed in 2011, The Theme have played the length and breadth of the UK accumulating not only a wealth of loyal fans along the way but also the much coveted 2015 Galaxy Award in the ‘Best EP’ category.

The Theme, coincidentally, genre hop from punk to ska to mod to rock to blues and all the stops in between, so it is rarely the same bite twice, which is always a plus.

Their 2017 output, Liquid, and their 2018 deluxe EP, Hits The Sky, are available to download on iTunes and the close proximity of these releases indicate that The Theme are in a constant creative state.

So tune in Tuesday at 8pm and hear for yourselves. For more information, go to www.thethemeuk.com.
