Superstore seeks green light to retain cameras
A SUPERMARKET chain has applied for retrospective permission to retain automatic number-plate recognition cameras at its Runcorn site.
Asda has filed the application in relation to its West Lane store.
The firm has also requested permission to keep its parking information signs in place.
Halton Council is ● aiming to decide the matter by June 6.
Two drivers have contacted the Weekly News in recent months to complain about wrongly being issued parking tickets after visiting Asda twice within the space of 24 hours but receiving fines from parking contractor ParkingEye claiming they exceeded the three-hour waiting limit.
