GCSE pupils make history at The Grange
● ● Grange included 48% of pupils achieving grades 4 to 9 in English and 43% achieving the same grades in maths.
The Grange spokesman said individual sciences fared particularly well with 94% of students gaining a grade C or above in physics and 81% scoring a C or higher in biology.
School staff were on hand to support the class of 2017 and to advise on making informed decisions about their next step.
Janette Vincent, The Grange head- teacher, was full of praise.
She said: “We are particularly pleased because this year we have introduced new foundation subjects in photography and drama to broaden our curriculum and we have seen some fantastic results.
“We are here to continue to support all our learners as they go on to the next stage of their learning journeys and we look forward to them coming back to see us and tell us of all their future successes.
“Well done to everyone involved.”
