GCSE pupils make his­tory at The Grange

● ● Grange in­cluded 48% of pupils achiev­ing grades 4 to 9 in English and 43% achiev­ing the same grades in maths.

The Grange spokesman said in­di­vid­ual sci­ences fared par­tic­u­larly well with 94% of stu­dents gain­ing a grade C or above in physics and 81% scor­ing a C or higher in bi­ol­ogy.

School staff were on hand to sup­port the class of 2017 and to ad­vise on mak­ing in­formed de­ci­sions about their next step.

Janette Vin­cent, The Grange head- teacher, was full of praise.

She said: “We are par­tic­u­larly pleased be­cause this year we have in­tro­duced new foun­da­tion sub­jects in pho­tog­ra­phy and drama to broaden our cur­ricu­lum and we have seen some fan­tas­tic results.

“We are here to con­tinue to sup­port all our learn­ers as they go on to the next stage of their learn­ing jour­neys and we look for­ward to them com­ing back to see us and tell us of all their fu­ture suc­cesses.

“Well done to ev­ery­one in­volved.”
