IRENE (RENE) COATSWORTH
THE funeral of Irene Coatsworth (nee Parry) took place on Friday, May 12, 2017, at Walton Crematorium by Reverend Douglas Jamieson. Her death at the age of 91 occurred on May 1, at Halton Haven Hospice.
Born in 1925 at Sweetmans Buildings, Weston Road, moving to Weston Point, Irene worked from the age of 14 at BICC Cables Factory, Helsby, until her marriage to Ken. They were happily married for 51 years. She enjoyed a long and happy retirement from ICI Canteen after 18 years service as a cook. Previous to a stroke, Rene was a member of War Memorial, Rock Park, Willow Brook and Subscription Bowling Clubs and entered competitions afar afield as Wales and New Brighton.
A much-loved Mum and Nan, she will be sadly missed by her daughter Lynne, son Alan and grandchildren Stephen, Philip, William and great grandson Freddie.
