Radium secures deal to strengthen home
AFIRM in Widnes specialising in security has agreed a six figure funding deal with a bank to buy a unit on a business park.
Radium Security Systems has been supported by Royal Bank Of Scotland.
The business has now bought its existing trading premises for an undisclosed sum at Unit 4 on Turnstone Business Park.
A sequence of refurbishment works has now begun on the premises to improve facilities and operational ease.
A new showroom is being created on the ground floor for customers to experience the technology on offer.
Radium’s director Paul Robinson said: “We are really pleased that the acquisition of the premises has been successful.
“We have operated from here for the last two years and the property suits our business well. It also offers plenty of space to accommodate ongoing growth.
“The support we have received from Royal Bank Of Scotland and our relationship manager Tom Parry has been excellent.
“Tom has been on hand throughout the complex acquisition process to provide us with any guidance and assistance we have needed.
“I am really pleased that we chose to work with the bank and look forward to continuing our relationship in the future.”
Established in 1982, Radium provides hi-tech alarm and security systems to homes and businesses across the UK.
In recent years the business – which employs 13 members of staff – has experienced strong growth with turnover increasing 40% in the last two years.
The firm has also recently taken part in an interview on domestic CCTV for BBC’s Inside Out programme which will be aired in September.
Mr Parry added: “I am pleased that we have been able to support Paul and Joanne to make the next step in their company’s development.
“The acquisition of their trading premises is a sound investment and will support the business as it grows.
“We have enjoyed getting to know the business and are looking forward to supporting them going forward.” ●
