‘WRONG WAY DRIVER’ BEFORE COURT
A 55-YEAR-OLD man was due to appear in court on Monday accused of failing to provide a specimen after being alleged to have been caught driving the wrong way on Bridgewater Expressway in Runcorn.
Cheshire police said he was detained by a member of the public and then arrested on suspicion of drink driving. The incident happened at about 10pm on September 16.
Officers thanked the public for helping to detain him. There was no answer from North Cheshire Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday when the Weekly News called to find out the outcome of the hearing.
