Nursery graded outstanding
STAFF at a Runcorn nursery are over the moon after the schools watchdog awarded it an ‘outstanding’ grading across the board following a recent inspection.
Holy Spirit Pre-School, which opened 27 years ago, achieved a clean sweep of top marks after hosting a visit from Ofsted on October 7.
Lauren Parsons, inspector, praised the management and staff as being ‘entirely dedicated to providing the best possible level of care and education’.
Funding was also being used ‘extremely effectively to enhance children’s lives’ and pre-school leaders took available opportunities to engage with parents.
Staff had ‘high expectations’ of all children and a ‘strong commitment’ to helping them to do the best they could, nurturing them to become ‘highly motivated, capable and eager to learn’.
The inspector added the pre-school had created a ‘welcoming, meticulously planned learning environment’ that was ‘extremely well-resourced and organised. ‘
Manager Joanne Galloway, issuing a statement on behalf of her and fellow Holy Spirit manager Janet Brewer, said: “We’re thrilled and so proud of the staff and the work they do.”
