Pair charged after series of car thefts

TWO suspects have been charged over an alleged spate of vehicle thefts and burglaries in Runcorn and Frodsham.

Cheshire police said Patrick Dowling, 32, and Lyndsey Bond, 28, were arrested in Runcorn in the early hours of Monday, March 12, following reports of a car and key burglary in Frodsham.

Bond, of no fixed abode, was charged with burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a Class B drug cannabis.

Dowling, of no fixed abode, was charged with two counts of burglary with intent to steal, two counts of burglary and theft, two thefts of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, failing to stop and failing to comply with a red traffic signal.

All of the alleged offences are reported to have taken place on March 12.

They were remanded into custody to appear at magistrate­s court.

A Cheshire police spokesman said Bond’s charges relate to an alleged offence on High View in Helsby.

Dowling’s are in connection with: attempted burglary on Ingleton Grove in Beechwood, Runcorn; attempted burglary on Martindale Grove in Beechwood, Runcorn, theft of a motor vehicle, burglary and theft on Pulford Close, also Beechwood, Runcorn; theft of a motor vehicle, burglary and theft, High View, Helsby; failing to stop on Hyde Close in Beechwood, Runcorn and jumping a red light on Daresbury Expressway.
