Lucy takes to stage for evening of song

-

TWO rising homegrown stars and former Halton’s Got Talent finalists will be hosting an evening of music when An Audience With Lucy McDiarmid Plus Special Guests comes to The Brindley this April.

Lucy’s abilities have flourished in recent years having passed her Associated Board Of The Royal Schools Of Music (ABRSM) piano and Trinity College exams with distinction.

A Brindley spokesman said she has a rare talent of being able to play piano by ear, which helped earn her a place in the Halton’s Got Talent final in 2016.

Lucy’s goal was to gain experience performing in front of a crowd, but wowed the judges and was named the winner, garnering coverage in the Weekly News and Liverpool Echo.

She has recently signed her first record deal with independent label as/if Records to release her own re-work of Chris Isaak’s Wicked Game in April, following a day in the studio with Ian Bland who has remixed the likes of Prince and Queen. He was so impressed with Lucy’s voice and the finished track, he signed her on the spot.

Following circulation to a few music producers, Lucy already has offers on the table to provide vocals on tracks for pop and dance tracks.

Supporting Lucy on the night will be Amy Jones, no stranger to Halton’s Got Talent herself, having been a finalist in 2016 and 2017. They will be joined by other guests on the night.

An Audience With Lucy McDiarmid Plus Special Guests is at The Brindley Studio on Friday, April 13.

Tickets are £10 from www.thebrindley. org.uk and the box office on 0151 907 8360.
