Talent win­ner Ella up­dates the clas­sics

ONE of Hal­ton’s bright­est young tal­ents will be per­form­ing at The Brind­ley The­atre in Run­corn tomorrow.

Ella McKe­vitt, win­ner of Hal­ton’s Got Talent, will be per­form­ing at The Brind­ley’s in­ti­mate Stu­dio venue.

The 18 year-old boasts a reper­toire of songs both old and new, and is in­flu­enced by R&B and soul singers such as Aretha Fran­lin, Etta James and Ella Fitzger­ald, who she is named af­ter.

She also has an eye for tak­ing old styles and bring­ing them up to date in the style of con­tem­po­rary singers like Jorja Smith and Ray BLK.

Ella per­formed at the first Sum­mer in the City at Shop­ping City Run­corn and went on to sing at Old Traf­ford, Manchester’s Win­ter Won­der­land and at sev­eral Christ­mas lights switch-on events in­clud­ing London, Bury ● and War­ring­ton.

She has recorded the track Be the Change for a char­ity called C&D who work closely with the River Reeves foun­da­tion and she is cur­rently study­ing at BIMM in Manchester for pro­fes­sional mu­si­cian­ship.
