Bereavement charity’s new home
A CHARITY supporting bereaved children and families in the North West has moved to Widnes from Runcorn.
Child Bereavement UK was based on High Street in Runcorn, but from October 1 now has its offices at Ashley House on Ashley Way in Widnes.
The service offers faceto-face support and groups where children can meet other bereaved youngsters with their adult carers.
Young people aged 11-25 can also meet in a supportive environment in which they can work together on projects to help others who are grieving, based on their own experiences.
Sebastian Farrell, the charity’s senior fundraising manager for the North, said: “Since the Cheshire service was established four years ago, it has grown signifi- cantly.
“We’ve gone from supporting 74 families each year to over 250.
“We’re looking forward to supporting many more families across Halton, as well as the whole North West region, from our new base in Widnes.”
