A good shoe for un­der a hun­dred quid is a rar­ity these days, so we were pleased to see that this model from Puma fared well in test­ing. It felt in­flex­i­ble in the hand, but the lab ma­chines found it the op­po­site, as did our testers, who loved the rounded heel, which didn’t im­pede their run­ning, and the way the stiff mid­foot helped sling­shot your foot for­ward onto the bouncy fore­foot. Wider­footed run­ners take note, though – it’s slim. Bot­tom line Great-value (and sur­pris­ingly flex­i­ble) shoe for nar­row-footed run­ners.
