THE FAMILY WAY

LETTER OF THE MONTH

Runner's World (UK) - - Human Race - Catherine Piggot, Bath

Womb service (RW, Sept) really struck a chord with me. I exercised until the day before I gave birth to both my kids. When they were five and two, they came to watch me in a race and instantly wanted to have a go. Now I try to enter races with fun runs attached, and my kids are both building up their medal collections. The enthusiasm is spreading – when I ran a 10K recently, my husband and kids were joined by my sister-in-law, her husband and their two children in the onemile fun run. My sisterin-law has since signed up for her first 10K.

IN IT TOGETHER Catherine (far right, in sunnies) and family
