A re­cent run left my calf mus­cles feel­ing as if they were about to ex­plode. So I re­luc­tantly ran the bath and added a few bags of ice. Af­ter 10 min­utes of shiv­er­ing I got out, vow­ing never to do that again. But the next day, the pain was gone. The ice bath is here to stay!
