Exercise now, stay well in years to come; and how to tackle pesky midsection fat
Here’s a reason not to put off exercise: your levels of activity in your late 20s and early 30s influence your chances of becoming overweight as you age. That’s the finding of a study that monitored physical activity levels and weight in a large group of women over 12 years. The researchers, from the University of Queensland, Australia, say high activity levels between 28 and 36 years of age are ‘critical’ for reducing the risk of becoming overweight in later years.
