Positive split

Runner's World (UK) - - Human Race -

I enjoyed Break on Through (RW, Oct), particularly the advice to ‘embrace positivity’. Running had never appealed to me and previous half-hearted attempts had failed. But after months of recovering from a virus, I started to run. I’m not sure why. I think I wanted to feel my body working again, while connecting with the outdoors. One evening I was overwhelmed by a feeling of thankfulness for what my body could do. I can relate to Kaitlin Goodman’s mantra of ‘running joyfully’. It is indeed a gift, not a chore.
