FOR THE RECORD

-

The Japanese really do love to run: The world record for running 100m on all fours (15.71) is held by Kenichi Ito. He set the record in 2015, having broken it on three previous occasions. Also in 2015, 105-year-old Hidekichi Miyazaki set a Guinness World Record as oldest competitive sprinter, running 100m in 42.22. However, he was not happy with his time. ‘I started shedding tears during the race because I was going so slowly. Perhaps I’m getting old!’
