Only a few years back, local runners used to at least nod at each other, give a smile or pause for a brief chat. Now it’s like running in the land of the dead. Headphones on, blank expression, unseeing eyes. Please, runners, pay attention – it might not be me coming up behind you next time, but a speeding car or the mad axe man!
