Last year I was given the news that I had breast cancer. My RW magazines piled up unopened, as treatment knocked my running confidence – not to mention my stamina – sideways. But having gained a charity place with Macmillan in this year’s London Marathon, I dug out a tried-and-trusted RW training programme and am now rediscovering the joy of long Sunday runs. I cannot wait to line up on 23 April. I won't be chasing a time – I’m just grateful and happy to be able to be there.
