A fortnight training with the…
The latest multisport offering from Garmin.
DAY 1 Simple to set up and sync with Garmin Connect app and Garmin Express software. It takes about 10 minutes: easy.
DAY 4 Excellent battery life. I don’t charge it until after a long run, a bike ride and two training sessions – and even then, the battery isn’t completely flat.
DAY 6 GPS lock in under 30 seconds and it holds up even running through built-up areas – result!
DAY 9 Have a little trouble on a pool swim with lap counts. The watch adds on a pool length when you turn back/forward even if you don’t do a stroke – could be annoying for serious swimmers.
DAY 10 I forgot my heartrate-monitor strap, but do a tried-and-tested session and find the wrist-based monitor is very accurate.
DAY 12 Race-predictor function seems to think I can run a 3:19 marathon… may be a tad optimistic!
DAY 14 A great addition to the Garmin multisport range – a couple of minor issues, but overall the perfect watch for anyone tri-curious or big on cross-training.
